Polaroid’s PTX4000 lenses fully meet all international quality standards:

European – EN1836

Chinese – GB10810

American – ANSI Z80.3

Australian – AS/NZS1067

Almost all Polaroid Eyewear’s lenses also comply with Europe Class 1 Optics Standards as well as satisfying Australian, Chinese and US standards, allowing you to provide sunglasses made to the same specification anywhere from Australia to Asia and from Europe to the United States.

Due to the degree of curvature required, some of our extreme lens sizes and bases can only achieve an optical standard of Class 2. These lenses still meet the standards for European markets, and easily satisfy the requirements for sunglasses in the United States, where entry rules on optical class are significantly lower than in Europe.
