Great optics whatever thickness you choose

With our unique Thermofusion™ Technology, we achieve consistently superb optics, even for thicker lenses. We can form all our polarized lenses to a thickness of 0.6mm, 0.8mm, 1.0mm, 1.2mm, 1.4mm and 1.6mm. At these thicknesses all our lenses meet Optical Standard Class 1 with the exception of a few of our more extreme sizes. Certain mask sizes and non-standard thicknesses satisfy Optical Standard Class 2 instead.

Despite the fact that there are 9 layers of technology pressed into each polarized lens our lenses can fit the slimmest, sleekest frames without weighing them down.

Try the thumb test on any of our lenses and you’ll see that Polaroid Eyewear polarized lenses are rigid and tough enough to take life’s knocks. Thanks to a double layer of PTX energy-absorbing material inside each lens they’re both optically-corrected and shatter-resistant. Polaroid Eyewear PTX4000 polarizing lenses are not only able to withstand drops and scrapes, they protect the wearer.
